Mid-Rise Condos

The open-air Mediterranean style five-story buildings with elevators and garage parking on the first level comprise two, three and four bedroom units.

The residences in the four separate buildings range in size from 1500 to 3000 square feet including some with loft space. Each building has approximately 20 units, with the center units most often being the largest unit. The second floor units have outdoor tiled patios with planters in addition to the screened lanais that all units have.

Views overlook the mangrove preserves toward the Intracoastal Waterway, the Sarasota Bay, Phillippi Creek and downtown. The area is tranquil and within a 5-minute walk to the Landings Racquet Club and fitness center. Birdlife is abundant due to the large lake that is the focus of the community of buildings. Because the buildings are situated east to west the sunsets views from the lanais are magnificent.

The Villas at Eagles Point

The Villas at Eagles Point Condominium Association (VEPCA) is among the smallest within The Landings. Its 16 homes are all located along one side of Starling Drive near the south gate of the community.

The units are grouped equally into four quads, each consisting of four homes. The two homes in the middle of each quad are two stories, while the outer homes offer one-floor convenience. There are eight one-story, 2,000sq ft, three bedroom, two bath, two car garage Villas and eight two-story, 2,400 sq ft, three bedroom, loft, two and one half bath, and two car garage Villas. They have large eat-in kitchen/breakfast rooms. The living/dining room is 18 ft by 33 ft with 12-foot ceilings. All have lanais in the rear that face the protective mangrove preserve that is a central feature of The Landings, along with some views of Phillippi Creek. All homes have two-car garages with direct access to the kitchen.

These dwellings, which were built in 1993, are only a short walk to the tennis courts, exercise room, and swimming pool of the Landings Racquet Club. For the boat lovers there is an indoor boat storage condominium adjacent to the south end of the property that launches onto Phillippi Creek.

Well-behaved dogs and cats of reasonable size are permitted; exotic pets are prohibited. Membership in the Landings Racquet Club is mandatory. VEPCA does not have its own community pool or boating dock, but the Racquet Club with its large pool, tennis courts, fitness center, and numerous sporting and social activities is an easy five-minute walk for residents.
